Darrell S. Poteet, CEO

Darrell is an IT professional with over 40 years of experience in every facet of the industry.  Beginning in mainframe programming on IBM 360 computers, through mini-computers, to personal computers he has provided businesses with technology solutions that helped them to be competitive and maintain growth.  As the owner of several successful technology companies, he learned to understand the needs of small to medium businesses.  As a senior executive of a major software company, he developed the vision to understand the technology landscape.
Darrell has managed technology enterprises in Silicon Valley, Metropolitan Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Australia, and Japan.  As an Internet pioneer he was the first to market, sell, and support a commercial software program completely via the World Wide Web.  After retiring as Vice-President of McAfee Associates in 1997, Darrell formed computerRx, a computer sales and service company in the Missouri Ozarks.  Over the years, security and network consulting became the mainstay of the company, so in 2010 that dimension of the company split away to become netPRO Security. 

Changing economic conditions (and cold winters) led him to move the company to the Ocala area in 2010.  A husband, father of four, and grandfather of two beautiful granddaughters, he enjoys spending time with family when he's not directly engaged in looking out for the needs of his clients.
